Fines for Hiking the Manitou Incline

Starting August 18 you could face a fine for hiking your favorite trail.  The Manitou Incline is a steep hike climbing 2000 feet in just under a mile along an old rail corridor.  Many people that live in the Springs tackle the incline on a regular basis but it also attract visitors from around the world.  The views are breathtaking not to mention the sense of accomplishment once you reach the top.  

Colorado Springs suspect says teen volunteered sex for pay

A 16-year-old girl's sexual activities are the subject of a Colorado Springs police investigation. The mother of the teenager says her daughter had sex with an adult male who forced the girl to engage in sex with other men for money. The parent wants a restraining order for the man her daughter is "staying with" in an Ore Mill Road motel room.

El Paso County church leader accepts plea deal in abuse case

The former superintendent of the Hilltop Baptist Church, in Colorado Springs, has agreed to accept a plea deal on charges growing out of a sexual assault investigation. The ex-church leader was accused by prosecutors of failing to report suspicions of child abuse and of being an accessory to a crime.

Colorado Springs developer accused of fraud has new charges added

A Colorado Springs developer was already facing a March 19 trial on more than a dozen securities fraud charges when he was arrested again Friday and charged with stealing more than $1 million in grant funds intended for the U.S. Olympic Committee.
