Colorado Springs soldier faces homicide allegations

A 22-year-old soldier from Colorado Springs is being held in an out-of-state jail on suspicion of first-degree murder following a deadly incident at a motorcycle clubhouse belonging to the Sin City Disciples group. The motorcycle group has been linked by some to notorious gangs such as Hell's Angels.

Authorities claim that the man might be tied in with the incident along with two other soldiers that are serving at the same fort.

During the early morning hours of March 3, a fight broke out just outside the club house. A group of men had broken away from the fight, hopped in a car and tried to drive away. Some of the men who remained at the club house allegedly started to fire guns at the departing vehicle.

One of the men in the vehicle, a 31-year-old, was hit. He was brought to a local hospital where he died of his wounds at around 6 a.m.

The 22-year-old soldier who was recently arrested was being held without bail pending completion of the investigation.

Authorities had already arrested two other men in connection with the killing. One of the soldiers was arrested shortly after the incident on March 16, while the other was taken in on March 21.

Of the two men that were previously arrested, one of them served as the bouncer at the club house. His battalion had started to deploy to Afghanistan earlier this year but it was unclear whether or not he was scheduled to go.

Authorities are keeping a tight lid on details surrounding the case as they look to link other possible suspects to the crime.
